Senior Software Developer - Technical Leader

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will be leading a newly established, highly motivated and skilled team working on a new IBM product focusing on Data Integration capabilities. Drive design and development activities, perform code reviews and actively contribute to daily team activities (scrum/stand-up meetings, progress checkpoints, demo sessions), be able to lead collaboration with different teams and team members across worldwide development organization, participate in customer support activities resolving complex issues and providing assistance to our customers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Strong experience in a professional software engineering role using one or more programming language ecosystems and software development processes
• Experience in developing software with Python, Rust, C++, or Go and their ecosystems of tools and libraries
• Experience with cloud-native environments, such as AWS (S3, lambda, CloudTrail, etc.) or other cloud vendors
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced, changing, and agile development environment to meet deadlines
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership skills such as empathy, organization, the ability to guide and motivate others and to address the problems they encounter

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

• Modern front-end JavaScript based technologies (React, Angular)
• Experience with cloud services from AWS, Azure, and Google
• Understanding of Agile/scrum
• Prior experience in a technical leadership role
