Job Description
Join AUTODOC, the largest and fastest-growing auto parts e-commerce platform in Europe, as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Front-End development. This role is based in Lisbon, Portugal, and offers a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior and principal front-end members to architect efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems.
- Implement and maintain front-end applications using React.js and TypeScript.
- Promote the use of reusable components and front-end libraries.
- Ensure a culture of continuous improvement by supporting teams to test, measure, and iterate on their work.
- Conduct code reviews and provide expert-level support and technical mentoring to the team.
- Contribute to establishing governance processes and guidelines.
- Drive the team from a technical perspective, staying current with new technologies in alignment with AUTODOC’s technical strategy.
- Collaborate with multiple interdisciplinary teams to understand business context and create scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Over 7 years of experience as a front-end software developer, primarily with React.js.
- Experience in software development, supporting the design and development of large-scale applications using OOP and SOLID principles.
- High-quality organizational skills and a technical mindset with great attention to detail.
- Experience with cloud architectures, particularly Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply logical and analytical thinking to complex problems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Good knowledge of core JavaScript (ES6+) and React.
- Understanding of HTML5 and CSS3, including SASS.
- Practical experience with REST APIs and modern Web APIs.
- Experience in creating unit tests and end-to-end tests.
- Familiarity with linters, semantic code, and webpack.
- Experience using Agile, SCRUM, and Waterfall methodologies to deliver projects (JIRA).
- Understanding of the software life cycle and teamwork.
- Experience with Git and the ability to use it properly.
- Intermediate English proficiency (B1).
