AUTODOC, a leading e-commerce platform for automotive spare parts in Europe, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Back-End Software Developer to join our dynamic team in Lisbon, Portugal. Responsibilities
As a Senior Back-End Software Developer, you will:
- Work on the Autodoc Pro product, enhancing the existing system and assisting in the migration from a PHP monolith to a new microservice architecture.
- Evolve and improve the existing PHP codebase.
- Design and implement microservices using Java, RabbitMQ/Kafka, and PostgreSQL/MySQL.
- Engage in test-driven development and test automation.
- Monitor services, manage alerts, and mitigate incidents using tools like New Relic and Grafana.
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers across teams to align technical decisions.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Over 7 years of experience as a Java/Kotlin and/or PHP Software Engineer.
- At least 5 years of experience as a PHP Software Engineer.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Java.
- Proficiency in MySQL, Postgres, and handling large data volumes.
- Experience in designing and developing large-scale, distributed software applications using RabbitMQ/Kafka.
- Familiarity with microservices and cloud architectures, including Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Strong understanding of architecture/design methods, data and API specifications, and quality assurance/testing methods (SOLID, OOP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to apply logical and analytical thinking to complex problems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a team environment.
- Intermediate English proficiency (B1).
Desired:
- Knowledge of PHP 7+, Laravel, Symfony, and FuelPHP is a plus.
