ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack) who thrives in an autonomous environment with high ownership. You will report directly to the CTO and work closely with our Product team to understand user pain points, collaborate on requirements, and be responsible for the end-to-end design and implementation of the product. Our application processes tens of thousands of paychecks weekly, making us a comprehensive solution for business payroll management nationwide.

Responsibilities

Enhance the developer experience of our API.
Lead launches of additional fintech products.
Improve the user experience of our platform.
Lead improvements to our tax management stack.
Streamline the payroll migration process.
Scale our services and infrastructure to handle large enterprise customers.
Create technical specifications from product requirements.
Implement REST APIs, update DB schemas, and operate in our NodeJS/Express backend.
Ensure product quality with adequate testing.
Debug and solve production issues as prioritized.

You Should Have

5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in a start-up environment.
Experience in React, React Query, TypeScript, and building UI components.
Proficiency in NodeJS/Express, MongoDB, and AWS.
Ability to hold technical conversations and challenge others in a positive growth environment.
Passion for building something people love.

OUR COMPENSATION & PHILOSOPHY

The salary range for this role is between $145,000-$170,000 for California-based candidates.
