Right Balance is the first and largest peer-to-peer marketplace for laundry services. Our platform allows users to outsource their laundry, providing a unique work-from-home opportunity for individuals with underutilized washers and dryers. Our app, Laundry Pro, has revolutionized the way people manage their laundry, offering a better life for our users.
Our Progress
Since our inception, we have experienced a 100x surge in users and revenue, with double-digit month-over-month growth. In 2021, we expanded to over 500 markets in the United States and secured a $10 million seed round in March 2022. Our investors include notable VCs and angel investors, and we continue to experience significant growth.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will report to our Principal Engineer and play a crucial role in shaping the technical strategy for our user experience. You will:
- Champion technology selection and best practices in app and web development.
- Lead technical excellence and innovation in our codebase.
- Spend the majority of your time coding and building the product.
- Collaborate with teams in a fully remote environment.
Tech Stack
Our technology stack is primarily TypeScript, with Angular/Ionic on the frontend and Firebase with Node.js on the backend.

Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of full-time hands-on Software Engineering experience.
- 3+ years of frontend experience with Angular, React.js, Vue.js, or React Native.
- 3+ years of backend experience with Node.js.
- 2+ years of TypeScript experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and self-motivation.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with Firebase and Ionic.
- Mobile development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
