Inclusively is partnering with a multinational financial services company to hire a Senior Frontend Developer. This role is not an internal position with Inclusively but with the partner company.

Position Description

As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will design highly functional and scalable web infrastructures using Angular, Node.js, GraphQL, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will lead all aspects of mobile web application development, design and consume RESTful APIs to deliver rich experiences, and iterate products and features using Test Driven Development (TDD), automation, and DevSecOps.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set visions, goals, and direction of the team/organization.
• Plan and lead organization-wide initiatives.
• Consult on the development and delivery of major technology initiatives for the business unit.
• Set the technical direction for the software engineering team and define architectural standards in partnership with other leaders.
• Provide direct management, coaching, and mentorship for a growing software engineering team, with a specific focus on career development.
• Partner effectively with other leaders in the group to develop a cohesive and comprehensive technical strategy and roadmap, supporting a range of products.
• Work closely with business partners to analyze their needs and drive technical decisions in support of these goals.
• Design, develop, and modify complex and major software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.
• Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field and six years of experience as a Director, Front End Development (or closely related occupation) developing real-time transaction services within a financial services or brokerage environment, using Angular and Node.js.
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field and four years of experience in a similar role.

Skills and Knowledge

• Expertise in building microservice-based APIs for consumption by applications according to SOAP and REST standards in a financial services domain, using OSGi, tcSever, Java/Go programming languages, AWS, and Docker.
• Experience in developing and delivering secure web applications in a financial services company, using server-side and client-side technologies such as Karma, AngularJS, Angular, Node.js, and Protractor.js.
• Managing the automated continuous integration of web and mobile applications using continuous integration tools like Jenkins and SeleniumGrid.
• Writing business functional tests and integration tests in cucumber and gherkin syntax for large applications used in a financial company.
