Job Description
Join Shield AI's Special Projects team as a Senior Staff Full-stack Software Engineer. This elite team operates within the office of the CTO, consisting of highly experienced software engineering experts from diverse fields such as aerospace, robotics, cloud infrastructure, and game development. The team is responsible for steering technology development towards strategic alignment with the CTO’s vision, making direct contributions to Shield AI’s software ecosystem, Hivemind.
Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy Ideation: Develop architectures to facilitate technology strategy articulation.
- Customer Feedback Iteration: Demonstrate developed architectures to customers, gather feedback, and iterate.
- Reference Implementations: Create reference implementations for potential future products or components.
- Technical Debt Management: Identify areas of technical debt, analyze, and synthesize solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience developing large, production-quality software systems.
- Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, C++, Go, or Python.
- 5+ years of experience with React/Node/TypeScript and Material UI.
- Strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices.
- Experience with Git and code management tools.
- Passion for developing high-quality and optimized software solutions.
- Strong technical collaboration skills and a desire to develop new skills.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with geospatial data and WebGL.
- Experience applying design systems to UI components.
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (Azure, GCP, AWS).
- Experience with Linux, Docker, and CI/CD environments.
- Experience with WebSockets and Electron.
- Experience with Playwright UI testing.
Compensation
- Salary range: €174,200 - €261,301 per year.
- Regular employee positions include salary, bonus, benefits, and equity.
