About the Role
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer at SentinelOne, you will be instrumental in developing backend services for our Security Data Lake product. This role involves handling several petabytes of data daily, designing scalable and efficient services that meet our high standards of performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services.
- Collaborate with product managers and tech leads to break down and estimate tasks.
- Work with cross-functional teams to enhance our cloud detection services.
- Promote best practices in technology, including design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
- Address potential bugs and vulnerabilities to ensure code quality.
- Provide mentorship and review the work of team members.
Technical Stack
- Our primary languages are Go, Python, and Scala.
- We use Kafka for messaging, Redis for caching, and PostgreSQL for metadata storage.
- Our services are hosted on AWS and GCP, and we utilize Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, and Terraform for our DevOps needs.
What We Look For
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in designing and developing high-performance backend systems.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience with Kafka and its ecosystem.
- A passion for building and scaling distributed systems.
