Software Development Engineer in Test

Overview

Responsibilities

Enhance and maintain automated test harness and framework using Python 3.X and tools such as Pytest.
Support continuous test operations, including maintenance and development of test infrastructure and automated test run systems.
Develop automated functional and performance tests using Python/Pytest and custom-developed test languages.
Conduct manual product testing and data analysis.
Develop web infrastructure to support automated test development and testing of product web features.
Write technical reports and support mass test operation sessions throughout the year.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in software automation engineering or a related field.
Strong understanding of Python programming language and its libraries.
Proficient in debugging code and identifying issues.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with Git and platforms like GitHub or Bitbucket.
Proficiency with shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell).
Familiarity with other programming languages such as C/C++, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
Familiarity with frameworks such as PyTest, unittest.
Familiarity with Selenium or similar automation tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and tools like Postman, Requests, or similar.
Familiarity with SQL and experience with databases like MySQL, SQLite, InfluxDB.
Experience with both Linux and Windows environments.
Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Willingness to continuously learn and improve skills.
