Job Overview
Mendix, a leading enterprise low-code application development platform, is seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Rotterdam, Netherlands. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for developing and implementing test strategies, automating test processes, and collaborating with developers to enhance the overall quality of our applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy Development: Proactively set up a test strategy and process informed by risk analysis to determine what and when to test.
- Automation and Manual Testing: Build automated tests, write useful scripts, and conduct manual testing as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers to define and refine requirements, ensuring a seamless integration of testing processes.
- Test Planning and Execution: Create detailed test plans and execute them to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Customer Journey Analysis: Analyze customer journeys to identify potential areas of improvement and ensure a smooth user experience.
- Reporting and Documentation: Create comprehensive test reports and document findings to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Support Ticket Investigation: Investigate incoming support tickets to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Java and Python. Experience with Git and CI tools like GitlabCI or Jenkins is a plus.
- Testing Techniques: Ability to apply different testing techniques, including exploratory testing and automation.
- Agile Environment: Experience working in an agile team, taking the lead in testing processes.
