Software Development Internship
Overview
Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Development Intern for the Summer of 2025. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development within a leading manufacturing company. As an intern, you will work closely with our engineering team to develop specifications, provide strategic advice on technology use, and support technological implementations.
Responsibilities
- Develop specifications required to meet business objectives.
- Provide strategic advice on using technology to achieve goals.
- Support technological and functional implementations.
- Engage in coding and debugging of new and existing applications.
- Collaborate with end users to solve business and technology problems.
- Challenge and enhance business processes and workflows.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week throughout the summer.
- Strong communication skills to interact successfully with employees and management.
- Strong comprehension and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with attention to detail.
- Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks.
