Expedia Group is seeking enthusiastic and talented individuals to join our 2025 Global Summer Internship Program as Software Development Engineering Interns. About the Role

As a Software Development Engineering Intern, you will be fully integrated into our inclusive community and gain a well-rounded experience of life at Expedia Group. You will have the opportunity to contribute to business-critical projects by developing your skills through tailored learning and training, providing ongoing support, and participating in insightful intern-specific events to build knowledge and community.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize your technical skills in our agile environment to develop next-generation technologies through our web applications and e-commerce sites.
• Create high-volume, scalable solutions and work with teams to iterate on features quickly and efficiently.
• Work on both back-end supply and database functions as well as new user interfaces for more than 140 branded travel sites.
• Collaborate closely with your immediate team, manager, and dedicated mentor to answer questions and support your development.
• Improve your coding abilities by being introduced to new tools and programming languages.

Who You Are

• Must be available to commit to the full program dates: May 19-July 25, 2025, or June 23-August 29, 2025.
• Must be graduating with an undergraduate or master’s degree in a technical subject (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology) between December 2025 and July 2026.
• Must be willing to relocate to the city of the job location if outside commuting distance.
• Must commit to full-time hours every week.
• Must have no more than 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with basic concepts of at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python, C#) is helpful.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and OOP concepts is beneficial.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of partners are advantageous.

What We Offer

Successful candidates will receive a competitive compensation package, including:

• The total cash range for this position in Seattle & Austin is $45-51 per hour. The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $41-47 per hour.
