About the Role

As a Software Development Intern at MSU Federal Credit Union, you will embark on a comprehensive training program designed to provide you with hands-on experience in software development. This internship is a unique opportunity to work on real projects that impact our banking systems, mobile applications, and web-based platforms. Key Responsibilities

Research and Development: Assist in the research, development, programming, and maintenance of MSUFCU's core banking systems, mobile applications, and web-based platforms.
Project Work: You will be assigned a department-specific project to complete during your internship, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges.
User Interface Design: Develop user interfaces and modify database components to enhance user experience.
Coding and Documentation: Write, test, and document code, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other developers and present your work to project stakeholders.
Training and Compliance: Participate in training activities to ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and regulations.

What We Are Looking For

Education: Actively pursuing an Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, Python, PHP, Objective-C, or Swift is preferred.
Skills: Strong understanding of databases, user interface design, and software development principles.

Work Environment

Location: Hybrid or Onsite at MSUFCU Headquarters in East Lansing, MI.
Schedule: Part-time, 15-25 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your school schedule.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
