Job Overview
Intuit is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to join our Platform Security Engineering team in San Diego, California. This role focuses on preparing audit narratives for leadership review prior to audits. You will be responsible for running applications to collect data, filling in existing audit narratives, and escalating issues to leaders for customization when necessary. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, has technical skills to run scripts and applications, and is passionate about security and software engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Analysis: Run pre-existing scripts and applications to collect data for audit purposes.
- Audit Narratives: Author audit narratives and reports using pre-existing templates and data.
- Issue Escalation: Escalate issues to relevant leaders when necessary.
- Policy Mapping: Map policy, control standards, and control requirements to AWS, GCP, and Azure resource types.
- Collaboration: Work with team members to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of narratives and reports.
- Automation: Expand automation capabilities using Python scripting.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with new technologies, tools, and techniques in automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in audit data analysis, audit automation, or a related field.
- Experience with automated data collection tools and script development.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with audit processes and procedures.
- Understanding of and experience with Python scripting and GitHub is a plus.
