Overview
Join the Intuit Expert Portal (IEP) team as a Software Engineer 2. This role is pivotal in expanding a platform that supports Intuit’s Live product line, including TurboTax Live and QuickBooks Live.
What You'll Bring
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 1+ years experience in web, software, or mobile application development
- Proficiency in JavaScript and React
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application
- Experience with web services (REST or SOAP)
- Knowledge of unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Independent decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and partnership skills
How You Will Lead
- Deliver high-quality React and/or JavaScript-based web software covering all aspects from design to code
- Engage in hands-on coding approximately 80-95% of the time
- Participate in early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs, and code
- Address defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
- Collaborate effectively across various teams to achieve project goals
- Foster a positive team dynamic and contribute to team success
- Demonstrate a passion for learning and applying new skills to benefit customers
- Employ Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies
This role requires a proactive, helpful attitude and a strong desire to solve problems while delivering superb results. Candidates should be eager to grow and enhance their skills in a dynamic, supportive environment.
