Job Overview
Intuit is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to join our Platform Security Engineering team. This role is pivotal in preparing audit narratives for leadership review prior to audits. You will be responsible for running applications to collect data, filling in existing audit narratives, and escalating issues to leaders for customization when necessary. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, possesses technical skills to run scripts and applications, and has a strong interest in learning Python scripting/programming, with a passion for security and software engineering.
Responsibilities
- Execute pre-existing scripts and applications to collect data.
- Author audit narratives and reports using pre-existing templates and data.
- Escalate issues to relevant leaders when necessary.
- Map policy, control standards, and control requirements to AWS, GCP, and Azure resource types, determining the best implementation methods.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of narratives and reports.
- Expand automation capabilities using Python scripting.
- Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, tools, and techniques in automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting) or equivalent relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience in audit data analysis, audit automation, or a related field.
- Experience with automated data collection tools and script development.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with audit processes and procedures.
- Understanding of and experience with Python scripting and GitHub is a plus.
