Software Engineer for Training AI Data (Python)

Job Overview

Join our expert annotation team to create training data for the world's most advanced AI models. As a Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in training AI large language models, helping them write better code. This role does not require previous AI experience, making it an excellent opportunity to enter the AI/LLM space.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-Generated Code: Assess the quality of AI-generated code and provide human-readable summaries of your rationale.
• Solve Coding Problems: Write functional and efficient code to solve various coding challenges.
• Develop Test Cases: Create robust test cases to ensure code efficiency and effectiveness.
• Engage with AI Models: Work on diverse projects, from evaluating Python code snippets to developing full mobile applications using chatbots.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in software engineering or software development.
• Language Proficiency: Complete fluency in English.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python is essential.
• Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex scientific concepts clearly.
• Attention to Detail: Maintain consistency in writing and adhere to grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.

Nice to Have

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
• Additional Programming Skills: Experience with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, SQL, Swift, Ruby, Rust, Go, .NET, Matlab, PHP, HTML, DART, R, Apex, Shell, C, C#.

Work Environment

• Remote Work: This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the accepted locations.
• Flexible Schedule: Set your own hours, with expectations of 15+ hours per week. Many engineers work 20-40 hours per week, with some exceeding 40 hours.
• Long-Term Contract: While the contract is long-term with no end date, we hope for a 12-month commitment.

Interview Process

1. Application: Apply using the provided form.
2. Code Review: Complete an asynchronous RLHF code review within 72 hours.
3. Group Call: Participate in a group call to discuss onboarding.
4. Final Interview: Perform a simulated production-level task on the RLHF platform.

Pay Rates

• US: $50/hr
• Brazil: $28.70 USD/hr
• Egypt: $22.05 USD/hr
• Philippines: $25.55 USD/hr
• Other Non-US Countries: $35 USD/hr
