About the Role
As a Software Engineer at Microsoft, you will be responsible for developing software, tools, and code to support design, infrastructure, and technology platforms. You will work on commercial or end-user applications, creating and implementing extensible and maintainable code for products, services, or features.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Code: Create and implement code that is extensible and maintainable for various products and services.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders to determine user requirements and incorporate feedback into future designs or solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with others to create a clear plan for testing and assuring the quality of solutions.
- Debugging and Issue Resolution: Apply knowledge of debugging tools, logs, telemetry, and other methods to proactively flag and resolve issues.
- Scaling and Performance: Learn about customer scaling requirements and apply best practices to meet performance expectations.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that processes are followed to achieve a high degree of security, privacy, safety, and accessibility.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. Proven experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Preferred: 1+ year(s) of technical engineering experience with coding in the aforementioned languages, or a Master's Degree in a related field.

Salary and Benefits
The typical base pay range for this role is $81,900 - $174,600 per year, depending on experience and location. Microsoft offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid vacation, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.
