About the Role

Join Microsoft as a Senior Software Engineer in our Security Business Unit, where you will play a pivotal role in developing secure, robust, and accessible software solutions. This position is ideal for a dedicated, self-motivated, and adaptable software engineer with proficiency in full-stack development, from front-end to back-end. You will work within the Microsoft Identity team, focusing on authentication processes and password reset mechanisms within Entra ID.

Responsibilities

• Engage in the comprehensive lifecycle of product development, from conceptualization and design to development, rollout, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance of full-stack services.
• Assume full responsibility for feature development, encompassing aspects such as quality, scalability, performance, telemetry, alerting, and upkeep.
• Design and deploy new features within the products managed by the team.
• Write and implement code that is both scalable and maintainable.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards and best practices.
• Adopt a security-first approach to project development.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to establish practices that boost developer productivity.
• Engage in the operation of live services, proactively addressing issues on a rotational on-call basis.
• Identify and execute both immediate and long-term solutions and mitigations to enhance service reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in software development with strong coding/programming skills.
• Experience programming in C#, Java, or other computer programming languages.
• Strong technical prowess, including understanding of algorithms, systems architecture, and end-user experience.
• Background in end-to-end ownership of complex software systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with a solid understanding of object-oriented design, coding patterns, and testing practices.
• Experience in operating and maintaining distributed infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and/or other cloud technologies.
• Experience in Agile, DevOps, and building microservices.
