Role Overview
Join the Mobile User Experiences team in Barcelona as a Senior Software Engineer focused on backend development. You will be instrumental in shaping product direction and delivering exceptional user experiences through the Microsoft Edge and Bing platforms.
Responsibilities
- Build services that enable engaging mobile user experiences.
- Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate closely with leadership and product owners to address business needs while maintaining engineering standards and reducing technical debt.
- Experiment with and recommend new technologies to simplify or improve our stack.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Considerable experience in technical engineering with coding in languages such as C++, C#, Java, or Python.
- Experience in optimizing performance and debugging.
Preferred:
- Experience with or interest in learning mobile or web client applications (TypeScript, Kotlin, or Swift).
- An interest in mentoring and growing junior developers in your wider team.
