Join Our Team as a Software Engineer - Widget Framework

Mendix, a leading enterprise low-code application development platform, is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team in Rotterdam. Our team is responsible for the framework and APIs on which widgets for the Mendix platform are built. This includes the JavaScript API provided in the client for web (ReactJS) and native mobile (ReactNative) widgets, as well as the components that allow users to easily configure widgets in Studio Pro.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the framework and APIs for Mendix widgets.
• Collaborate with the frontend group to build great end-user experiences from design time to runtime for web, mobile, and augmented reality.
• Use standard tooling like JS/TS/ReactJS/ReactNative to build components.
• Maintain and extend the visual language that allows users to create pages and their logic faster and easier.

Requirements

• Proficiency in C# and TypeScript.
• Experience with React.js and MobX.
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
• Experience with CI/CD processes.
• Experience with test frameworks like Jest, WebdriverIO, or Selenium is a plus.
• Experience with Java/Scala is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in software development.
• Knowledge of design patterns.
• Strong communication and knowledge-sharing capabilities.

Location

This position is based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, with a hybrid working model. We expect the successful candidate to be present in the office at least 3 to 5 days a week, as we believe that in-person teamwork is essential for building a cohesive team and delivering high-quality work.
