About the Role
As a Software Engineering / DevOps Intern at Yahoo, you will be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for designing, developing, coding, and testing software systems or applications. You will have the opportunity to work on software improvements and new products, revising and refining them as needed. Your role will involve developing project timelines, implementing design specifications, creating system flow diagrams, and providing ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test software systems or applications for software improvements and new products.
- Develop project timelines, implement design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing, and ongoing support.
- Recommend modifications to our processes and procedures.
- Help identify a gold standard for current methodologies and implementations.
- Promote your ideas within project teams.
- Participate in intern workshops and training sessions.
- Present your work to leadership and network with fellow interns.
Who You Are
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science or a related major, with a strong record of academic achievement.
- An avid problem solver capable of working independently and collaborating within a team.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages, including Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, JS Frameworks, Golang, Python, and MySQL.
- Passionate about large-scale, large-user base website development.
Internship Details
This is a 6-9 month internship opportunity starting between January and March. We are looking for self-starters with a passion for technology, who thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and who come to work ready to have fun!
