Job Overview
We are seeking a Tech Lead to join our engineering team in San Francisco, California. This role is ideal for a technical leader who is passionate about coding and mentoring a team of versatile engineers. You will be responsible for guiding team members on their technical projects, from pair programming and code reviews to empowering them to make higher-level decisions. As both an individual contributor and a leader, you will play a key role in shaping our technical strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Coding: Engage extensively in coding as part of our technical roadmap.
- Mentorship: Mentor and pair program with other engineers to help them develop their practical skills.
- Code Reviews: Perform code reviews and provide feedback to help engineers improve their craft.
- Best Practices: Help establish best practices and standards in our codebase to enhance the quality of our systems.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python: You should be very proficient with Python.
- Machine Learning Knowledge: Comfortable with training deep neural networks and familiar with the latest machine learning theory and practice.
- Passion for Coding: This is a hands-on position, suitable for someone who loves to code.
- Mentorship Skills: Passionate about people, mentorship, and teaching.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: Competitive salary ranging from €170,000 to €350,000 per year.

We train our own foundation models optimized for reasoning and prototype agents on top of these models.
