About the Role
Cape is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative team dedicated to improving our enterprise AI platform. This role involves installing software into customer data centers or VPCs, leveraging both local and public large language models and machine learning models to implement custom workflows and document creation. Our goal is to help businesses harness the power of today's generative AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software features.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Clarify and ensure the technical feasibility of product requirements.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
- Mentor less experienced team members.
- Conduct thorough testing of your work, and participate in peer reviews within your team.
Key Qualifications
- A great attitude, effective communication skills, and a strong sense of ownership.
- BS in computer science or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years professional work experience building performant, user-friendly, reliable, distributed software systems.
- Experience working on backend system services, such as databases, distributed systems, real time applications, etc.
- Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code in Python.
- Experience developing both onsite enterprise software and cloud-based SaaS applications.
- Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working in a data science, machine learning, or AI context.
