Job Description
R+L Carriers is seeking a skilled Web Developer with a focus on E-Commerce and Native App Development. The ideal candidate will have both academic and professional experience in PHP and MySQL. You will be part of the Information Technology Department, developing world-class enterprise software applications to support R+L’s leadership in the transportation and logistics industry. As a key member of an interdisciplinary team, you will create user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Shopify/E-Commerce Development:
- Develop and customize Shopify themes based on project requirements.
- Build custom Shopify apps and features to optimize eCommerce functionality.
- Maintain and enhance existing Shopify stores, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create responsive, visually appealing, and optimized Shopify stores.
- Integrate third-party and homegrown APIs and services with Shopify to extend store capabilities.
- Debug and troubleshoot Shopify-related issues (both frontend and backend).
- Develop and customize other e-commerce platform apps (WordPress, Magento, etc.).

Native App Development:
- Develop, test, and deploy native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).
- Build custom mobile app functionalities like product browsing, checkout, and account management.
- Ensure that mobile applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate server-side logic with mobile applications.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with PHP, PHP Laravel, and MySQL.
- 2+ years of experience in e-commerce development skills.
- 2+ years of experience in mobile app development for both Android and iOS.
- Excellent understanding of B2B and B2C business functionality.
- 2+ years of experience working with Shopify, WooCommerce, and the ability to develop Shopify apps and WordPress plugins.
- Knowledge of other major e-commerce platforms such as Magento and Wix.
- Experience working with REST and SOAP APIs.
- Experience with GIT version control.
- Experience with external hosting such as Fly.IO and Heroku.
- Experience using Xamarin and other native app development tools.
