About the Role
BuzzFeed is seeking an AI Tech Fellow to join our team. This is a full-time, three-month contract position with the potential for extension. The role is designed for aspiring technologists eager to experiment with the latest AI technology to create engaging and conversation-starting content. As a fellow, you will have the opportunity to contribute to BuzzFeed’s AI offerings and work creatively with no-code tools, apps, and services to build unique AI content and experiences.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with BuzzFeed’s product, content, and engineering teams to create AI-enhanced content.
- Utilize various AI tools to develop new content formats, including AI image generators, gamified chatbots, and more.
- Engage with cultural conversations happening online and contribute to them through AI-generated content.
- Pitch ideas, take assignments, and brainstorm with team members to develop innovative content.
- Interpret audience data to adapt and evolve content strategies.
Requirements
- Passion for internet culture, digital trends, and social media.
- Familiarity with AI creation tools such as ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, and others.
- Ability to create AI content, build AI prompts, and understand the current landscape of AI tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle feedback constructively.
- Interest in social platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, and YouTube.
Nice to Have
- Experience with NextJS, React, or Python.
- Knowledge of working with APIs and video editing tools.
- Experience in AI model building.
