Job Purpose
Join AVEVA as an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Intern and help us build intuitive AI solutions that delight our users and solve real-world problems. Use your top-notch AI, ML, and visualization skills to innovate with us and create the next generation of industrial AI-enabled products.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the rapid prototyping and development of AI solutions.
- Evaluate how well these solutions can be applied to a variety of real-world, industrial problems.
- Work with stakeholders to understand and refine requirements, access data, and provide feedback on prototype solutions.
- Create rapid prototypes and demonstrations by stubbing or simulating supporting services as required.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or PhD program in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Engineering, or a related field.
- GPA of 3.00 or above.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. AVEVA is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas.
- Software development experience in one or more modern programming languages (C++, C#, HTML/JavaScript, etc.).
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and willingness to learn AI.
- Knowledge of statistics and/or linear algebra.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts (training, cleaning, data bias, class imbalance, etc.).
- Familiarity with computer vision concepts (CNN, filters, object detection, etc.).
- Experience with data visualization, automated testing, and evaluation.
- Proficiency in Python and Jupyter Notebooks.
- Experience with common ML packages (scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow, etc.) and image processing packages (opencv2, etc.).

Additional Information
- Office Location: Lake Forest, CA.
- Salary Range: $36,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year.
