AI Engineer and Data Science Intern

Overview

The Executive Office for Administration and Finance (A&F) is seeking a talented AI Engineer and Data Science Intern to join our Digital Analytics & AI team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered solutions that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis: Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
AI Model Development: Design, train, and test AI models using various algorithms, including machine learning and deep learning, to solve complex problems.
Data Visualization: Create interactive dashboards and reports to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, developers, and project managers, to integrate AI-powered solutions into our services.
Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and data science, identifying new opportunities for innovation and growth.

Requirements

Strong programming skills in languages such as Java and Python.
Ability to work with AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate ideas and insights.
Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud-based platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and/or computer vision techniques.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.

Location and Work Environment

This position is based at A&F IT’s offices at MITC, 200 Arlington Street in Chelsea, Massachusetts. The role requires both in-person and virtual presence, as assigned by the supervisor. The offices are accessible via MBTA.

Additional Information
