Position: Associate - Business Intelligence and Automation

Join Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah, as an Associate specializing in business intelligence and automation. This role involves independently utilizing a suite of automation software and applications, including CRP, QlikView, QlikSense, nPrint, and SmartDX, to develop automated report templates for both client reports and reports for Goldman Sachs’ mutual funds.

Key Responsibilities

• Automation Development: Independently use business intelligence (BI) and low-code tools to extract, transform, and load data, creating efficiencies and presenting senior decision-makers with data insights in an aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-digest manner.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert by being available to answer questions, host training, and troubleshoot issues for the broader reporting team.
• Governance and Best Practices: Establish governance by conducting peer-reviews on other individuals’ automation developments to ensure all builds follow a uniform set of best practices.
• Consultation and Collaboration: Meet with other teams throughout the division to consult on opportunities to apply the reporting automation platform to their reporting tasks and execute on developing automated solutions for the opportunities identified.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related technical field.
• Experience: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
• Skills: Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with:
  • Working with client reporting obligations of an asset management firm.
  • Implementing a risk mitigation framework by reviewing peers’ work to assess build quality and ensure the enforcement of a standard set of uniform best practices.
  • Utilizing low-code tools including Alteryx, QlikSense, nPrinting, and SmartDX.
  • Working with Agile Project Management philosophy and its real-world applications in the reporting and asset management space.
  • Overseeing business transformations and function migration.
  • Working on at least 4 projects simultaneously with conflicting deadlines.
  • Working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams globally.
  • Communicating project milestones, roadblocks, and accomplishments across global stakeholders.
