Job Overview
The Quantitative Analyst at Citi is a strategic professional role that requires staying abreast of developments within the field and contributing to the directional strategy by incorporating statistical, computational, and architectural expertise. Responsibilities
- Create and productionize trading desk analytics leveraging strategic technology platforms to align with internal best practices.
- Architect, design, and develop data pipelines for traditional, alternative, and internally generated data retrieval and management in adherence to Citi’s data governance standards.
- Develop new analytics libraries used for portfolio construction, trading, and risk management.
- Help develop web applications that allow traders to access underlying index/flow data to perform and visualize analyses and computations, aiming to identify new market inefficiencies and trading opportunities.
- Create, implement, and support quantitative models for the program trading business using tools such as mathematical finance, statistics, probability, Python, KDB, SQL, C++, .NET, Java, Javascript, and object-oriented software design.
- Collaborate with a team of traders, quants, and technology professionals to provide innovative ideas related to the equity market.
- Work closely with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
- Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses required for the role within the appropriate timeframe.
Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience in a quantitative analytics or developer role, ideally in the financial sector.
- Excellent quantitative skills, evidenced by prior training in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, or related quantitative fields.
- Strong understanding of computer technology, including Linux literacy, Python, SQL, KDB, and/or C++.
- Experience in market data and its management to support research efforts.
- High attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s/University degree required; an advanced degree is a plus.
