INVESTMENT BANKING

The Investment Banking Division (IBD) at Goldman Sachs works on some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today. Who Are We Looking For

• A proven full stack engineer who works in a fast-paced environment while deeply investing in long-term quality and efficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and use sound judgment when prioritizing.
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams in building customer-centric products.
• Analyze existing software implementations to identify areas of improvement and provide deadline estimates for implementing new features.
• Update and maintain documentation for team processes, best practices, and software runbooks.
• Establish trusted partnerships with peers, product heads, and executive-level stakeholders.
• Passionate about technology and engineering.
• Exceptional analytical skills and ability to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions.
• Ability to leverage technology to deliver business value.
• Independent and comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and often multi-directional work environment.
• Strong understanding of scalable enterprise system design and microservices architecture.
• Experienced in Test Driven Development and applying good test practices and different types of testing to promote rapid, reliable, and resilient application development.
• Experience having complete product ownership; identifying requirements, design, coding, testing, and deployment.

Basic Qualifications

• 6-8 years of hands-on development experience in Core Java (Java 11 & above), and experience in backend technologies such as Core Java, Spring framework, JSON, REST, Hibernate, Django, SqlAlchemy, etc.
• Exposure to Sybase (or other relational databases) alongside SQL.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Python.
• Experience with front-end development with Angular, React, Redux, and Core JavaScript.
• Demonstrated experience operating in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum setup with global/remote teams.
• Experience with implementing unit tests, integration tests, Test Driven Development.
• Strong development, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of developing and deploying applications in public cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Data modeling, warehousing, and understanding of data engineering practices a big plus.
• Some experience using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation) a plus.
• Experience with reactive, event-based architectures a plus.
