Your Role as a Backend Engineer
As a Backend Engineer at airfocus, you will be integral to our engineering team, responsible for developing and maintaining the backend logic, databases, and APIs of our applications. You will work closely with our CTO and cross-functional teams to enhance our product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust software applications using Scala.
- Collaborate with product managers and frontend developers to integrate APIs.
- Maintain and optimize existing backend systems.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure high standards of code quality.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot backend issues.
- Contribute to the integration of third-party tools and services.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in backend development, particularly with Scala.
- Familiarity with tools like akka-http, play-json, tapir, and Swagger.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and caching solutions like Redis.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes for deployment and infrastructure management.
- Understanding of HTTP Rest APIs and their integration.
- Additional experience with Node.JS, Typescript, React.js, and Docker is advantageous.
