Entry Level AI Engineer - Sales Program

Join IBM's Client Engineering team as an AI Engineer and be part of a dynamic environment where technology sales are evolving with innovative approaches. As an AI Engineer, you will engage in the development and deployment of AI systems using IBM's watsonx platform. This role involves co-creating solutions with clients to solve their most challenging business problems.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Pre and Post Sales Pilots: Develop pilots to validate and demonstrate the feasibility of AI solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and iterate on pilots, ensuring they meet customer requirements and adhere to best practices.
• Solution Optimization and Performance: Monitor and optimize AI solutions, including foundation models and large language models. Enhance efficiency, accuracy, and speed through fine-tuning and algorithmic improvements.
• Collaboration and Project Management: Work with AI engineers, platform engineers, and sales teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery of AI solutions. Communicate project progress and risks to stakeholders.
• Industry Trends and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends in AI, foundation models, and large language models. Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks for their potential impact on solution design.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Education: B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python, R, Java, or similar languages.
• Tech Savvy: Knowledgeable about AI technology and industry trends.
• Team Player: Strong collaboration skills and ability to navigate different communication styles.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-Starter: Motivated to work with clients and lead projects independently.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• AI Frameworks: Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or Hugging Face.
• LLM and Foundational Models: Understanding of large language models and foundational models.
• Libraries: Familiarity with SciKit Learn, Pandas, Matplotlib, etc.
• Open Source Technology: Knowledge of open source technology, automation, and legacy coding (Cobol, C, Assembler) is a plus.

Additional Information

• Location: This position requires you to be in one of the following IBM offices: Atlanta GA, Austin TX, Chicago IL, Dallas TX, New York NY, Raleigh NC, San Francisco CA, and Washington DC.
• Travel: Readiness to travel up to 50% annually.
