About the Role
10up is seeking a talented and experienced Senior JavaScript Engineer to join our team on a freelance contract basis. As a Senior JavaScript Engineer, you will be responsible for leading, architecting, and building React projects using modern JavaScript. You will work closely with our clients to understand their business objectives and deliver high-quality engineering solutions that meet their needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of scalable web-based JavaScript applications using ES6+, React, and Node.
- Architect and build React projects, ensuring they are modular and maintainable.
- Provide code reviews and ensure the quality of the codebase.
- Connect engineering deliverables to client business objectives, ensuring alignment and value.
- Collaborate with a distributed team across the globe, embracing the benefits of remote work.
About You
- You have extensive experience building scalable web-based JavaScript applications with ES6+, React, and Node.
- You are well-versed in the architectural concepts behind React, including state and data management, JSX, and creating a componentized system.
- You have a strong understanding of JavaScript tooling and best practices.
- You are knowledgeable about WordPress as a platform, including custom post types and taxonomies.
- You have a portfolio of real-world code samples, showcasing your ability to build custom solutions.
- You thrive in a remote work environment and are effective at engaging with a distributed team.
Compensation
- The expected hourly rate for this role is between $70 and $110 USD, depending on experience, projects, geographic location, and business needs.
