Full Stack Engineer - Ground Software
About the Role
As a Full Stack Engineer at Astranis Space Technologies, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing the software that enables the safe and reliable operation of our spacecraft from the ground. The tools you develop will be essential for satellite operators to manage and monitor a constellation of satellites effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Build UI Capabilities: Develop new user interface capabilities for Astranis satellite operations, ensuring they are intuitive and efficient.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with operations and satellite teams to create command interfaces and telemetry screens that facilitate safe and efficient satellite command and control.
- Develop High-Performance Software: Design mission-critical software that sends commands to space, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Define Software Requirements: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define software requirements, architectures, and designs.
- Recruitment and Team Building: Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new team members to support our rapidly growing team.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a full stack developer in the industry, excluding internships.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and React, experience with Python, and comfort with SQL databases such as Postgres.
- Prototyping and Development: Ability to rapidly prototype and fully develop user interface concepts with a focus on user experience.
- Autonomy: Highly motivated, self-starting, and able to perform duties autonomously without supervision.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with Design Systems.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience in satellite operations software.

Additional Information
- Salary Range: $120,000—$150,000 USD
- Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required due to U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
