We are looking for a passionate Full-Stack Software Engineering Developer II to join our team in Seattle, WA.

About the Role

As a member of the Formulation team within SSD, you will be responsible for developing software products that support various teams across SSD, as well as customer-facing applications. You will work with the latest AWS technologies, data approaches, and machine learning to build distributed, highly available systems. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality will positively impact safe human spaceflight.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including requirements development, software architecture and design, systems integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Design and develop intuitive user interfaces for enterprise applications and customer-facing applications.
• Share knowledge and experience in performance, scalability, software system architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Identify and champion areas for automation and create clean workflows and processes.
• Collaborate with product owners and scrum masters to support sprint planning and backlog grooming sessions.
• Produce top-tier user documentation for defining the architecture of systems and their interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS in computer science, information science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience developing data-driven products, including web-based services or products.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including object-oriented design.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., git, svn).
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace/systems engineering or developing software in an aerospace environment.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with ReactJS or similar front-end web technologies.
• Familiarity with AWS Services, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with data manipulation, plotting, and simulation libraries.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range for WA applicants: $115,290 - $161,406 annually.
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid parental leave, and more.
• 401(k) with company match up to 5%.
• Up to four weeks of paid time off per year and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
• Discretionary bonus opportunities.
