Role Overview
As a Full Stack Software Engineer on the Commerce Catalog Platform team, you will lead the development of backend and frontend solutions, enhancing our product catalog capabilities and handling complex pricing configurations for over 305,000 customers. Daily tasks involve processing more than 1 billion price transactions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Java, Scala, and Python.
- Develop dynamic frontend interfaces using React and Node.js.
- Collaborate with product managers and architects during the product discovery phase to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Lead API design and architecture to improve system integration and performance.
- Manage cloud-based services and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
- Optimize database interactions and data storage solutions for high throughput and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, React, and Node.js.
- Experience with distributed cloud services, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
- Solid knowledge of database management and data-driven application development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and experience interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Location and Travel
This remote role is based in the United States, excluding specific locations in California. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings.
