Senior Full Stack Engineer

Ternary is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our journey to build the best multi-cloud FinOps platform in the market to help engineers, finance, and business leaders maximize the business value of the cloud. Our platform uniquely provides enterprise-grade cost allocation, anomaly detection, forecasting, optimization, and case workflow management to foster team collaboration and realize key business value.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Ternary, you will play a pivotal early role in driving Ternary’s product growth and leading teams to build groundbreaking new products from scratch. Your responsibilities will include:

• Upholding a high bar by participating in technical discussions, providing feedback on specs, and making recommendations.
• Uplifting and mentoring junior team members.
• Working on areas including, but not limited to, API design, Relational and Non-Relational Databases, UI development, Auth, CI/CD, documentation, and other business logic and customer-facing features.
• Shipping and owning high-impact products end-to-end with high quality.
• Having a long-range vision for systems that you own.
• Taking ambiguous technical problem statements, turning them into an actionable plan, and then executing them with the team.
• Coordinating cross-team collaboration, incorporating customer feedback into product engineering roadmap, and driving delivery execution.
• Communicating engineering strategy with other leaders to ensure that the products being built truly elevate the organization and enable us to move the business forward.

Candidate Profile

You should have:

• 7+ years of experience building scalable web applications in both early-stage and enterprise companies.
• Experience building applications with Node.js, React.js, and TypeScript.
• A passion for learning new knowledge and skills, skilled at quickly ramping up in new areas.
• A bias for action, and not letting sensitive topics fester.
• Experience interacting with customers and business leads.
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
• Regularly consider business lenses and tradeoffs, even for deeply technical engineering problems.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated base salary for this role ranges from $170,000-$195,000, along with a generous equity component. This range is merely an estimate, and the width of the range reflects a willingness to consider candidates with broad prior seniority. Actual compensation may deviate from this range based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
