About the Role
Close is seeking experienced Senior and Staff Software Engineers specializing in backend development with Python to join our fully remote team. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about building robust software solutions and have a strong background in web technologies and database management.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and scale backend services using Python and Flask.
- Manage and optimize databases including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.
- Develop and maintain our REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Work with AWS services like EKS, MSK, RDS, and ElasticCache to manage our infrastructure.
- Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Employ CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
- Contribute to open source projects and stay engaged with the developer community.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Flask framework.
- Experience with database management and optimization (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch).
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible for deployment and automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
