About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Security Automation to join our Information Security Team. This role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency of our security operations by automating critical workflows. You will be involved in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automated security solutions to protect Twilio's cloud and enterprise infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security needs and deliver solutions.
- Define and prioritize the security automation roadmap, balancing business impact with technical considerations.
- Maintain the operational health of existing tools and processes, ensuring they meet key SLOs and KPIs.
- Support on-call operations for tools and technologies owned by the team.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of security processes, procedures, and systems.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in security automation and integration.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of five years of experience as a software engineer developing internal tools and automating workflows.
- Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.
- Solid understanding of software security principles and secure coding practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills, and ability to work in a team.
- Experience with deployment and configuration management frameworks such as Terraform, CI/CD systems like BuildKite, and container management systems such as Kubernetes.
Desired
- Experience with Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) technologies.
- Experience building a security automation framework.
- Experience or interest in AI/ML models to automate complex processes.
Location
This is a remote position based in Ireland. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings or project collaborations.
