About The Job
This position as a Staff Software Engineer on the Flex product engineering team is crucial for powering the future of communications. Twilio Flex is a fully programmable cloud contact center platform used by companies like Lyft, Shopify, and Nike. The role involves building and improving the GraphQL query and subscriptions layer for Twilio's programmable cloud contact center platform - Flex.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve the GraphQL query and subscriptions layer for Twilio's programmable cloud contact center platform.
- Design and develop elegant and scalable solutions across a wide variety of contexts including a highly available and responsive API guaranteeing 99.999% SLA.
- Interact extensively across all engineering teams within Twilio to align on engineering and architecture decisions.
- Champion mature, high-quality engineering through writing tests, valuing code maintainability, and documenting work.
Qualifications
- Experience with scalable backend systems and understanding of scalability challenges.
- Proficiency in at least one cloud platform: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Passion for quality and engineering it at all stages of software development.
- Strong communication skills and desire to make an impact in collaborative, energetic teams.
Location
This role is remote from Estonia or based in our Tallinn, Estonia office.
