We are partnered with an ambitious company in the renewable energy sector, based in Ghent, focused on building sustainable solutions for a greener future. Their team is passionate about creating software that powers renewable energy systems and helps reduce the world's carbon footprint. As they grow their technical team, they are looking for a talented Fullstack Ruby Developer to join on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails, React, and JavaScript.
- Build and enhance both the front-end and back-end components of our software platform.
- Optimize and refactor existing code to improve functionality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve any issues that arise during development or after deployment.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in fullstack development with strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails, React, and JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of front-end and back-end architecture.
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus.
- Experience with Version Control (GIT) and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English required, Dutch is a plus).
