About the Role
Join Manda, a leading real estate services company, as a Full-Stack Developer (Ruby) at STATION F in Paris. This role is crucial for our Tech & Product team, which is responsible for designing and enhancing our platform and tools. You'll be part of a strategic team of about fifteen members including software engineers, data scientists, designers, and product managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding: Start with a comprehensive two-week onboarding to understand our stack and operations before fully integrating into the team.
- Product Development: Participate in the technical design of new features. Each project is initiated by the product manager in collaboration with a developer to ensure feasibility and sound technical architecture.
- Agile Practices: Engage in agile methodologies with two-week sprints. Participate in agile ceremonies like daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes.
- Technical Implementation: Develop features primarily using the Rails framework and server-side rendering with Turbo and Stimulus. Handle some front-end complexity using Vue.js. Write comprehensive tests to ensure feature reliability (unit, integration, and system tests).
- Code Quality: Review code from other developers and participate in team training sessions every Wednesday afternoon. Work on performance and scalability issues, handling more than 10,000 visitors per day.
- Tech Stack: Utilize Ruby on Rails, Vue.js, Hotwire (Turbo and Stimulus), PostgreSQL, Redis, Minitest, Jest, Sidekiq, GitHub Actions, and Circle CI for continuous integration, and Jira for project management.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience: You have at least 3 years of professional web development experience, preferably with a product-oriented approach.
- Skills: Strong in code architecture and aware of good development practices like CI/CD, code review, and pair programming. Experience with MVC web frameworks (e.g., Django, Symfony, Laravel) is a plus.
- Education: A degree in computer science or a related field from an engineering school or equivalent (BAC+5).
