Role Description

As a Fullstack Software Engineer at Outschool, you will be part of a fully remote team distributed across the US and Canada. You will collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, User Researchers, and Product Analysts to build high-quality products for parents, learners, educators, and partners. Your responsibilities will include maintaining software solutions across our stack, from front-end technologies like React, HTML, CSS, and Next.js to back-end technologies like GraphQL, Node.js, and SQL.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with a diverse team to build and maintain software solutions.
Engage in daily activities such as standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and deploying features.
Write and maintain APIs using TypeScript and work with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Desired Experience & Skills

2+ years of industry experience in software engineering, particularly with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) and Node-based applications.
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and writing APIs in TypeScript.
Track record of technical project ownership and a willingness to mentor others.

Other Considerations

Experience in startups, especially during hypergrowth phases, is highly valued.
Previous experience in EdTech or with technologies like Next.js, GraphQL, AWS, and experimentation frameworks is beneficial.
