About The Team And Role
The Quora Core Product team is pivotal in enhancing the user experience on Quora. As a Mid-Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will:
- Impact a broad range of features crucial to the Quora community.
- Work on projects that enhance user engagement, content quality, and overall creator experience.
- Utilize data and experimentation to develop scalable solutions.
- Collaborate in a fast-paced, agile environment to deliver high-quality, functional features.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full stack web applications using Python and JavaScript.
- Engage in all phases of product development, from ideation to deployment.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and data scientists to prototype and implement new features.
- Ensure the performance and reliability of systems that handle massive scale.
Minimum Requirements
- Available for coordination during Quora's core hours (9am-3pm PT).
- 2+ years of experience in building consumer web products.
- Proficient in Python, JavaScript, and related technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong frontend experience, particularly with React and Typescript.
- Passion for Quora's products and mission.
