Job Description
Join Amazon's Key for Business team as an iOS Developer and be part of a dynamic group tasked with solving significant everyday problems through innovative technology. This role involves leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) to transform and disrupt the industry, particularly focusing on Amazon's patented building access technology, which supports Amazon Last Mile in the US and is expanding globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and Design: Engage in the research, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of both new and existing systems.
- Software Development: Create software services and tools to enhance the software development process, ensuring high-quality deliverables from concept to launch.
- iOS Application Development: Design and develop iOS mobile applications that integrate smart home capabilities, enhancing the package delivery experience for customers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members to explore design approaches, prototype new technologies, and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Agile Environment: Operate within an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
A Day in the Life
As an iOS Developer, you will be responsible for developing applications that guide drivers to deliver packages accurately and efficiently. Your work will involve integrating cutting-edge technologies from IoT, wireless, and cloud computing into practical solutions for logistics and delivery.
About the Team
You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of hardware, firmware, software (mobile, backend, and frontend), and system engineers. Your solutions will be deployed at scale to help Amazon delivery exceed customer expectations.
Basic Qualifications
- Professional experience in software development (non-internship).
- Experience in designing or architecting systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
