Job Overview
Join the dynamic team at Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios as an SDE II - iOS Software Developer, where you will be part of the live low latency streaming team, focusing on delivering Sye, a revolutionary streaming platform used for live sporting events and concerts. Your role will involve innovating and improving the components that provide live streaming capabilities to end-user applications across various platforms, with a specific focus on iOS.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the iOS components of our live streaming player SDKs.
- Integrate these SDKs into Prime Video applications used by millions globally.
- Create reference and demo implementations, and set up automated tests across different hardware and software platforms.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, coding sessions, code reviews, and technical meetings.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to align on technical complexities and delivery milestones.
- Engage in planning for large events, including new feature deployment and performance testing.
About the Team
The team is responsible for the live low latency player SDKs and their integration into Prime Video applications. As we grow, you will have numerous opportunities to interact with other teams globally and be part of a strong video streaming community alongside partners like Twitch and IMDb TV.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Professional iOS development experience.
- Proven experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Proficiency in at least one iOS programming language such as Objective-C or Swift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the full software development life cycle.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
