This role is crucial for supporting Amazon Last Mile in the US and our plans for international expansion.
Responsibilities
- Design and Development: You will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Android mobile applications that are integral to access control devices and IoT solutions.
- Innovation and Research: Engage in research, design, and implementation of new systems. Document and maintain existing systems while driving the software development process towards higher quality.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with product and UX teams to propose engineering solutions and trade-offs. Collaborate with other engineering team members to investigate design approaches and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Community Engagement: Participate actively in the Android development community within Amazon to share learnings and contribute to growth.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Experience in programming with at least one software programming language.
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems focusing on reliability and scalability.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
