SDE - Android Developer for Amazon Key

Job Overview

Join our innovative team at Amazon Key as an Android Developer, where you will have the chance to solve significant everyday problems through cutting-edge technology. This role is crucial for supporting Amazon Last Mile in the US and our plans for international expansion.

Responsibilities

Design and Development: You will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Android mobile applications that are integral to access control devices and IoT solutions.
Innovation and Research: Engage in research, design, and implementation of new systems. Document and maintain existing systems while driving the software development process towards higher quality.
Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with product and UX teams to propose engineering solutions and trade-offs. Collaborate with other engineering team members to investigate design approaches and evaluate technical feasibility.
Community Engagement: Participate actively in the Android development community within Amazon to share learnings and contribute to growth.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
Experience in programming with at least one software programming language.
2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems focusing on reliability and scalability.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
