What You'll Do

As a software developer at Kennisnet, you'll be part of a scrum team developing platforms like Wikiwijs, KennisnetWijzer, and the Dienst Verwerkersovereenkomsten. These tools help teachers and schools find suitable teaching materials, shape school development, and manage digital contracts securely. Whether your expertise lies in frontend or backend development, you'll find plenty of challenges here. We align team assignments with your expertise and interests.

You'll join one of our four self-organizing scrum teams, collaborating with colleagues to manage one or more products. You'll contribute to new functionalities, maintain code, and ensure platform security and quality. You'll also engage with users, from teachers to school administrators, to gather feedback and understand ICT challenges.

Our teams have the freedom to elevate platforms and develop new functionalities. We use the latest technologies and methodologies, such as reactive programming and continuous delivery, to develop software quickly and efficiently. You'll see your team in the office about one day a week.

What You Bring

• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently
• Experience with backend technologies: PHP (version 7+), Symfony (version 4+), MySQL, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with frontend development using Angular 16+ (TypeScript) and JavaScript
• Familiarity with build and management tools: Docker, Linux, GitLab-CI, Composer, NPM, PHPStorm, and VSCode
• Strong communication skills in Dutch, both oral and written

What We Offer

• 25 vacation days and a gross monthly salary between €4,104 and €5,673 for a 40-hour workweek, depending on experience and skills
• 8% holiday allowance and a 10% flexible budget for extra leave days or payout
• Initially a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension
