Job Description
Leidos is seeking a Junior Full Stack Software Developer to join our Spatial Solutions team. This role involves modifying existing GOTS code and integrating open source software solutions for display and analysis within Aeronautical Production Systems. The position is hybrid, with 3 days working from home, 1 day at the St. Louis, MO office, and 1 day at the O'Fallon, IL office.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize cloud computing expertise to provide system administration and modify existing GOTS code.
- Integrate open source software solutions for display in a web application.
- Develop APIs and integrate databases for interaction with React frameworks.
- Use various open source packages for visualization and data filtering.
- Apply best practices in unit and build testing.
- Work with C#/Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Entity Framework, Visual Studio, and JSON APIs.
- Document new and existing functionality within software version control repositories (GitLab).
- Utilize DevOps principles and tools to deliver new features within an Agile construct.
- Participate in Agile software development initiatives to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in software development or integration projects in a service-oriented or virtualization environment.
- BS degree, or Associates Degree plus 2 years’ experience, or a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a related field.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with modern JavaScript and/or C# development frameworks.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with React.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with unit testing, continuous integration tools, and GitLab version control.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows system administration.
- Experience with DoD Aeronautical Datasets.
- Experience with AWS cloud formation templates.
- Experience with Node.js, NPM, Swashbuckle, REST API, Sass.
- AWS Solutions or DevOps certification.
- Familiarity with team collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
Additional Information
This position requires an active Top Secret Security Clearance and a willingness to undergo a polygraph. Candidates who do not possess this clearance will not be considered.
